Formation of concepts [treatment]
Education is linguistic, cultural and historically conditioned concept with a very complicated meaning. To find an exact, or better still uniform definition of the educational concept, hence, turns out than extremely difficultly. According to adjustment and interest situation the views vary about what should be understood by “education”, considerably.
„Education refers to picture and with it back to the genesis passage taken up till our century (1st book Mose, 26 following) after which God has created the person after his picture. At the same time it is forbidden to this creature to make to himself a picture of God.“

The concept Education was introduced by the medieval theologian and philosophers master Eckhart into German; you can read more about it on special resources or buy term papers online.  He meant for him „learning of calmness“ and was looked as “a God’s thing”, „so that the person God becomes similar“.
Wolfgang Klafki calls education „Erschlossensein of a real and spiritual reality for a person – this is the objective or materiale aspect; but that is at the same time: Erschlossensein of this person for this his reality – this is the subjective one and the formal aspect at the same time in‚ functional‘ how in‚ to methodical‘ senses“. 
After Bernward Hoffmann education is understood as the development and development of the spiritual-mental values and arrangements of a person by Formung and education. The concept is derived from the “Bild” to give shape and being to a thing. The word Education has come down to the name of bare formal knowledge. Then education is not far removed from imagination or calls only what judges social utilitarianism of the ruling just for important. 
After Daniel Goeudevert education „is active, complicated and never concluded process in whose happy course an independent and automatic, problemlösungsfähige and life-competent personality can originate“. Hence, education cannot be reduced to knowledge: Knowledge is not the aim of the education, but very well an aid. In addition, education assumes judgment property, reflexion and critical distance compared with the offer of information. Towards him stands the superficial knowledge, or if it is about adaptation in contrast to the reflexive distance, also the assimilation (sociology).
An alternative definition is found with Kössler:
„Education the acquisition of a system is such morally of desired settings by the mediation and appropriation of knowledge that people define her location in the frame of reference of her historical-social world choosing, evaluating and position-taking, personality profile get and win life and action orientation. One can also say, instead, education causes identity [.]“
